Adjacent to Zilang Lake, Nantong Grand Theatre embodies the "Mountains of Lutes, Pearls of Water" design concept. Its undulating roof resembles two pianos performing in harmony, or paper kites ready to take flight.
Spanning 105,000 sq.m., the landmark was designed by Paul Andreu. The colonnade outside the performance hall features matching roof and wall tones for a grand atmosphere, with linear light fixtures arranged like musical notes to echo the musical theme.
The "Mountains of Lutes, Pearls of Water" concept permeates every interior detail. AICA Thai Teak wood grain panels (4110-60) harmonize indoor and outdoor visuals. Warm wood textures soften the massive architectural scale, enabling quiet dialogue between art and nature. Auditoriums satisfy premium audio-visual requirements, while public areas sustain artistic ambiance alongside comfort, offering audiences a seamless immersive art experience from arrival to seating.
Ceilings are clad in AICA HPL with delicate Thai Teak textures that align perfectly with the overall design, delivering warm yet grand visual effects. Restroom partitions utilize AICA SPC thick double-sided HPL panels, featuring Class A fire resistance, impact resistance and easy cleaning. They retain pristine condition under heavy long-term use, delivering lasting reliable quality for the theatre.
